A.k.a Golden age of Islamic Civilization is the period between the Seventh to the Fifteenth centuries. During this period, a lot of emphasis was placed on pursuit of knowledge. Besides studying religious texts, many eminent Muslim scholars and thinkers have also excelled in studying subjects like Mathematics, Geography, Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry and Medicine etc. Consequently the contributions from Islamic Civilization have had a considerable effect on the renaissance that subsequently occurred in Europe
Golden Age Exhibition
Golden Age Exhibition is an effort by ILM Foundation to create awareness and appreciation of the scientific discoveries especially made by Muslims over a time-span of 1000 years. The target audience for the exhibition is primarily educational institutions viz, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Research Centers etc.
The exhibition includes a display of different instruments and tools used in the medieval times alongside visual exhibits of Scientists and details of their works. So far ILM Foundation has organized this exhibition in different cities across India including Hyderabad, Delhi, Calicut, Mysore, Kolkata, Mewat, to name a few. Over 50,000 school and college students, University graduates, teachers, professors, research scientists and general audience have witnesses this exhibition thus far.
